1. Who is Results with Bump for?
Results with Bump is for expectant mums from 2 weeks to 40 weeks. The tips, advice and videos are relevant to anybody who is pregnant, whether older, younger, fit, unfit, fat or thin. All will benefit from a safe programme of health and well-being activity.
2. What sort of videos are on RwB?
Results with Bump includes videos for you to: Learn, Move, Relax and Breathe.
The ‘move’ section includes fitness, Pilates, yoga, movement therapy and pelvic floor strengthening routines.
The ‘relax’ section covers all bases from first to third trimester, teaching relaxation techniques to keep you calm and fresh right the way through your pregnancy.
The ‘breathe’ section covers all-important breathing techniques for a more comfortable delivery and to aid your relaxation techniques.
The ‘learn’ section includes our experts sharing their top tips about a range of topics such as nutrition to active birthing, to your antenatal appointments, what to wear and answers to your FAQs.
3. Do I need to buy any equipment?
As your body changes, support and comfort are essential. You can do many of our workouts with no equipment at all but we highly recommend investing in a yoga mat and Swiss ball to get the most out of the website. You may also need 2-3 cushions to ensure comfort during certain videos e.g. yoga. Other videos have a few bits of optional equipment such as a resistance band (for some Pilates videos), a Pilates Ball and 0.5kg hand weights.
4. What are the videos/programmes like?
Every single workout is filmed from start to finish with Claire (Sweeney) or one of our other expectant mums for you to follow along with. You will hopefully feel like you are having a personal training session yourself and that the instructor is there in the room with you. Unlike a conventional pregnancy workout DVD, with Results with Bump you can do a different workout every day, so you never get bored or plateau.
5. Can I cancel at any time?
Our rolling, monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time by you so you have full control as to when you join or leave. Alternatively, you can save money and opt for a quarterly paid or 9 month package.
6. How long are the videos?
Each video lasts between 5 and 30 minutes. A recommended playlist is made up of a combination of videos, selected by our experts to complement each other when done together. You should aim to complete three 20-30 minute workouts per week if you feel able to and comfortable whilst doing so.
7. What body parts will I work?
With over 40 different videos, you can select your workout by body part or discipline. All videos are categorised so you know what type of activity they contain, which aches or pains they can soothe and which trimester they are appropriate for.
8. Can you give me a taster before I buy?
Yes, sure! We offer a full, 7 day free trial, so you can trial all areas of the site and make sure it’s suited to you.
9. Could you tell me about the different membership options available?
All of our memberships include full access to everything on the website, there are no membership ‘levels’ or catches. You can simply choose the duration of membership that suits you (e.g. monthly rolling, quarterly or 9 months) and you’ll save money if you combine more months at the time of payment.
10. I have a health issue, can I still join?
Being pregnant is a very special time in your life. Your body is going through a lot of changes and therefore it is absolutely essential that if you have an existing medical condition, you have the permission of your medical team before you begin any exercise programme, this one is no exception. If you are unsure, our participant questionnaire (taken by all members before they can join) will prompt you if further medical advice is recommended.
11. How are you different to other antenatal programmes?
Results with Bump is completely unique with its online platform. Your membership gives you access to expert trainers, whenever and wherever you are. Unlike traditional pregnancy fitness DVDs that offer a set, limited number of workouts when you purchase, Results with Bump gives you a huge variety of different routines, for different purposes and of different durations. So you have more choice, more control and ultimately, more fun!
12. Other women I know made lifelong friends in their antenatal classes, so won’t I be missing out?
You will be joining a huge online community of pregnant women who share the same goals and aspirations as you. Typically, users of Results with Bump often can’t make the local classes available to them for some reason (e.g. time, commitments with other children etc) or there are none available. You can use our social media channels to connect with other pregnant women and share tips, stories and ideas.
13. Do I have to follow a specific diet?
EatWell with Bump is nutrition information that is based around health – it is NOT a diet plan. With the right information at your fingertips, there is no need for excessive weight gain during pregnancy. Following these principles, we will help you will maintain a healthy weigh whilst ensuring sufficient nutrients are provided for your health and that of your growing baby.
